Polhawn Fort brings you a stunningly beautiful coastal location in Cornwall, and an extraordinary original Napoleonic Fort with huge views across the sea

You can have this deeply romantic historic venue exclusively to yourselves, for a whole weekend or midweek, to create your unique wedding dream.

We have two inside rooms licensed for marriages: choose from the Grand Napoleonic Hall, where up to 120 people can bear witness to your marriage; or perhaps have a smaller and more intimate ceremony for up to 30 or so in the Emperor’s Room.
The spaces inside the Fort are entirely yours to set up and decorate as you wish. Our team of wedding organisers will be on hand to meet you when you visit, and to offer unlimited free advice on how you can make the best use of the Fort’s unusual and historic character.

What could be more snug than a winter wedding on the very edge of the wild Cornish cliffs, enfolded by the security and seclusion of the Fort, with all your loved ones gathered together round a blazing log fire, and the sound of the sea crashing on the beach below?

The Garden House, opening out onto sweeping lawns and a breathtaking seascape, is also licensed for wedding ceremonies. As your guests smile encouragingly from the lawn, you can get married in full view of all the most exhilarating sights that nature can provide, accompanied by the sound of waves on the beach below, the call of sea birds, and soothing breezes in the tall surrounding trees
