17th February Trenython Manor St Austell

Louise & Jeremy

Louise & Jeremy are both teachers, they meet on a school training trip to St Malo. It was another 2 years till they started going out and another nine years till they got married after a five year engagement so no one can say they rushed into things.

But when you have 2 young children life gets in the way of romantic plans.

Guests came from all over for the day at the seaside in the sunshine. Family travelled from Lancashire, Liverpool, Bodmin and Bolivia to be there on Friday 29th July. They had overcome many obstacles to make the day happen not least Jeremy’s support for Liverpool FC. When your future in laws have been season ticket holders at Old Trafford Manchester its almost a religious issue. Louise bought her lovely dress at Monsoon and looked very elegant with a simple bouquet. The couples two little boys were ring bearers and doubled as best young men. That was the best part of the day they told me, giving mummy and daddy there rings. Jeremy said in his speech “ Some people might say we did this all the wrong way around but when I look around at my beautiful wife and two fabulous children, well if that’s wrong I don’t want to be right!” The ceremony was in a magnificent oak panelled room at the town hall and the reception was at a local golf club.

It was a windy road from the candle lit proposal to the wedding day that took nearly six years but as they say good things come to those who wait and new shoes for the kids are sometimes more important.
