Your Green Wedding

Green up your wedding day

Why not create a magnificent, magical wedding day that your guests will remember forever while at the same time treading lightly on the planet. Treasure your big day and make it a green one with a little help from the team at the Eden Project.

Pick a sustainable wedding venue

Get married at the Eden Project for a truly unique eco-venue. Sustainability, creativity and imagination are part of everything we do here, and you can rest assured that the best local suppliers have been sourced. You’ll not only be staging your event at a world-famous icon of sustainability and eco-awareness. but we recycle everything we possibly can and buy as much as possible made from recycled materials. Plus Eden is a charity, so everything you spend with us helps us to further our transformational social and environmental projects locally and internationally.

Ethical favours

There are many other ways to create your dream green wedding day such as providing ethical favoursSay thank you to your guests for their love and support by offering them an ethical wedding favour. For an unusual favour they won’t forget, give each guest a  love bomb, flung at the earth and will burst into colourful forget-me-nots – your guests don’t need to be green fingered to have fun with them. Plus it’s a memorable wedding gift they’ll love and never forget. Our wonderful Eden webshop has lots of sustainable treats for all budgets and tastes.

Record your memories

Create a green guest book so friends and family can add poems, drawings, messages, photos or anecdotes as a keepsake of the day. Our love-heart photo album is handmade using fibres from the lokta bush; a tradition that goes back a thousand years. Preserve your memories in this fairly traded book for keepsakes you’ll treasure forever. Or why not try eco friendly thank you notes such as our beautiful paper notelets, or maybe you could use them as invitations for your first wedding anniversary! They are guaranteed to brighten up someone’s day with each piece of paper having an Indian-style floral design on the back, and comes with a matching envelope.

Flower Power

When picking your bouquet why not opt for a locally grown seasonal bouquet of cut flowers, don’t need to be transported from overseas. Seasonal bouquets are perfect to bring your wedding day to life, or as a present for the blushing bridesmaids. The Eden webshop have a beautiful range of blossoming bouquets, they are picked to order and have free delivery!

Fine Food Miles

If you’re having your wedding in Cornwall, why not make sure your food is sourced locally too? By creating a locally produced seasonal wedding banquet, whilst also putting something back into the Cornish economy and keeping your food miles down. At Eden our chefs our proud to provide the finest seasonal produce, and pride themselves that 81% (and rising) of it is sourced locally.

Green gifts

It’s really simple to set up an Eden wish list so you can take your pick of quality plants, energy-saving gadgets, homeware or gardening equipment on our web shop. Guests have the opportunity to donate a little extra to offset the carbon emissions of their delivery.
